James is a highly experienced sports physiotherapist based in Cheltenham who combines clinical expertise with entrepreneurial leadership to deliver seamless injury rehabilitation and sports performance outcomes for all who come through ARC physio. James has successfully developed multi-site practices that bridge the gap between injury rehabilitation and elite athletic performance unlike anywhere else in Gloucestershire.

With a Master's degree in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath and over 15 years of clinical experience, James specialises in advanced musculoskeletal assessment, diagnostics, and rehabilitation for athletes across all competition levels. His evidence-based approach incorporates cutting-edge technology optimize athlete health and performance strategies.

James currently serves as National Age Groups Physiotherapist for England Hockey, where he leads physiotherapy services for U18 boys and provides support during international competitions and training camps across Europe. His sports experience extends to the Lawn Tennis Association, Commonwealth Games 2022, and National School Games, along with a multitude of other sports.

What sets James apart in Cheltenham is his collaborative approach to athlete care. Over years of working he has cultivated strong relationships with GPs, orthopaedic consultants, strength and conditioning coaches, and nutritionists to ensure seamlessly integrated rehabilitation pathways.

James' philosophy centres on challenging himself to grow while staying current with key research. When not in the clinic or on the side of a pitch, James can often be found in the vicinity of Cleeve Hill running or on his bike, be that road or MTB. Further afield he loves to surf and ski and is often found searching after his next adrenaline fix.
